Several years ago, The Caflisch Family owned and operated a lumber business in Clymer, New York. Daniel Caflisch worked in the family business with his father and uncle, Bing and James Caflisch throughout his young adult life.In 1993, Dan originated Caflisch Trucking & Construction Inc. (CTCI). The early years of the business involved hauling freight for local companies in the area. With himself and two other employees, Dan chose to further develop the corporation into a pallet recycling facility. The manufacturing facility is 32,000 square feet and resides on 5+ acres. They inventory over 40 different sizes of pallets in addition to building in excess of 100 different sized pallets from the smallest size to custom sizes 20 feet long.Later in 2005, CTCI installed the ISPM 15 Heat Treat System in the plant. At that time, CTCI became licensed and certified for all heat-treating processes. This includes, but not limited to various sizes of pallets, custom built pallets, and different sized boards and bases. As a certified company, all heat-treated orders are done in house and transported to many customers throughout the area. Today, the company is known as Caflisch Pallet & Wood Services. Dan, along with his wife Laura, have grown the company into a successful business with more than 30 employees. Friendly “Customer service” and “On Time Delivery” has been the main focus. They now service customers in five states with new, reconditioned and heat-treated pallets and services. No business is too small or too large.
